FACE

Face care

Here are tips from different back grounds make your choice
Face Washing Dos and Don'ts

Beauty consultants might recommend a facial treatment — cleanse, tone and moisturize — but dermatologists say that comfortable-for-you cleansing is key, and moisturizing may help some skin types.

First and Foremost: The Cleanser Itself

Use a gentle, water-soluble cleanser to avoid irritating the skin — not one that needs to be wiped away with a tissue or washcloth.

Besides the fact that it washes away with water , all you need to know about a cleanser is that it makes your skin feel soft, clean and neither dry nor greasy. Experts' picks for efficient, mild cleansing: Cetaphil, Aveeno, Neutrogena and Eucerin brands.

Second for Some: A Separate Toner

If you feel you need a toner, think about finding a better-for-you cleanser instead.

A toner's role is to remove oily residue and provide a fresh feeling; it does nothing to firm the skin long-term. With today's rinse-off cleansers, you'll rarely need a toner — you might want one, though, if your face has become oily over the course of the day.

Last but Not Least: Should You Use a Moisturizer? Any times ,

For dry-skin sufferers, a moisturizer can soothe and protect — the test is whether your skin feels too tight. There are many effective moisturizers — try one , then listen to your skin. These brands come recommended: advert here.

Additional Products: A Matter of Preference
* To exfoliate or not? Removing dead skin cells can make your skin look less dull, but go easy or you could injure skin that's sensitive. : Use a little grape seed or olive oil, a non-soap cleanser like Burt's Bees or Cetaphil, or a cold cream such as Pond's, and with the rough side of a washcloth make small, gentle circles all over your face.

* Can creams turn you into a cover girl? These three ingredients are common in face creams:
. Retinoids. For rejuvenation of photo-damaged skin, these members of the vitamin A family (the best-known being Retin-A) are effective — in prescription concentrations, at least — in reducing wrinkles, as well as clearing up acne.

o Alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs). Also known as fruit acids, these can give the skin a luster by keeping the skin free of dead cells. Over-the-counter preparations don't make as dramatic a difference as the ones used by dermatologists.
o Antioxidants. The vitamins A, C and E are said to have the ability to protect and possibly repair the skin by fighting destructive molecules called free radicals.

Of course, coffee, diet cola and juices also provide organism with liquid, but these drinks contain rather many calories.

Fruits and vegetables contain much liquid. Moreover, they are rich in cellulose. And if you eat an apple or carrot salad between lunch and dinner, you’ll be full, and this means you won’t need any pastry. Put a plate with fruits on your working table instead of packet with cakes. And you shouldn’t think that you can gain weight eating fruits, as they contain much sugar. There’s much more sugar in desserts. And frankly speaking: have you ever seen a woman that gained weight eating oranges?

You need to burn 3500 calories on average to grow thin 0,5 kg. Try to get rid of 500 calories a day, and very soon you’ll notice changes - firstly in your face, then in figure. Let’s divide these 50 calories in two: you need to burn 250 doing physical exercises and cut from your menu 250 calories a day. You can burn 250 calories during 30-minute walk at a quick pace or intensive 20-minute exercising. And you can leave out 250 calories from your menu owing to desserts. Replace ice-cream by frozen yoghurt, chocolate pie - by low-cal pudding, sweets and cakes - by dried fruits.

And there’s an opinion that soy sauce is much better for your health, than usual salt, but in fact, it causes the same edema, as table salt. Besides prepared food, avoid: all salty dishes of eastern cuisine, tinned soups and vegetables, canned fish and meat, chips, salty nuts, smoked food. Remember, that when you stop taking salt, you help to normalize higher blood pressure.

no 7.
Weight-lifting exercises
If you lose weight only due to a diet, your skin becomes flabby and sagged inevitably. So you need to combine diet and weight-lifting exercises. The Basic 4-Step Skincare Regimen

Step 1: Cleansing

Simple is key here. You need to find a good cleanser that your skin responds well to, and stick with it. See the best cleansers for your skin type.

You can find a good cleanser just try the links on the page . There's no need to spend $40 on a fancy wash. Avoid bar soaps as they tend to dry out the skin. Choose a creamy cleanser if you have dry skin or a clear cleanser if you have oily skin. you can get bellow

Be careful not to cleanse too often. Washing at night should do you. If you have dry skin, consider cold cream like Pond's, which the French use. Simply apply cream, then wipe off, no water needed (if you have hard water it can be especially harsh on skin). Most women prefer the water method: Use warm water to loosen dirt and clogged pores. Use a dime-sized bit of cleanser, then rinse with cool or lukewarm water. You'll also want to take off your makeup with a proper makeup remover.

In the morning, a splash of lukewarm water is all you need (we find it's great for removing excess oils from your nightly moisturizing). Never wash your face with hot or cold water (both can cause broken capillaries). Also be careful about overcleansing skin, see signs you are overcleansing your skin.

Step 2: Exfoliate

Exfoliation is the step most people skip in their weekly skincare routine. But trust me, if you start properly exfoliating your skin, you will notice an almost immediate difference. According to one of the reasons men's skin looks more youthful than women's is because men tend to exfoliate daily when they shave. There are several ways try strawberry links

Scrubs work by removing the top layer of dead skin cells that tend to dull your complexion. We find exfoliating skin once a week with a microdermabrasion kit keeps skin glowing year-round. Make sure you use a gentle scrub with tiny grains. Big grains in cheap scrubs can tear skin and cause more harm than good. My favorite microdermabrasion kit
is from

In the hour it takes to get a chemical peel, you can take off five years from your face. Can't afford the price tag for a monthly peel? Try some over-the-counter peels that work over the course of a month. I prefer MD Skincare's.

Retinoids (such as Retin-A or the more moisturizing Renova) also work by removing the top layer of dead skin cells while also generating collagen in the skin. "Collagen is the skin's structural fiber," dermatologist Dennis Gross said in O Magazine. "As we get older, it breaks down, creating lines and large pores." Skincare experts disagree on all sorts of things, but most of them consider retinoids to be a miracle skin saver. I'm addicted to Retin-A, which I pick up in Mexico on my yearly jaunts.

Should you use a toner? Some people swear by toners, but many beauty experts do not. Toners are meant to remove all remaining traces of oil, makeup and dirt, but a good cleanser should do this. I firmly believe it's up to you. If you like the way your skin feels with a toner. Buy it. Use it. Enjoy it.

Step 3: Moisturize
While I know of at least one famous beauty editor who swore skin doesn't need moisturizer, basically everyone else I've read disagrees and is an adamant believer in it. A basic law of beauty is that everyone, no matter her skin type, should moisturize. Even if your skin is oily, it will benefit from moisturizers. (The only exception is those with acne). Why? Moisturizers seal moisture into skin , So how much should you moisturize? Your skin will tell you. When your skin is tight, it's crying out for moisture. Be careful not to overmoisturize -- this can clog pores.

Step 4: Apply Sunscreen
O Magazine ran an article featuring interviews with several top skin care experts and dermatologists ,Every single one of them said sunscreen was the most important part of your skincare regimen. It was the secret they would pass on to their daughters.

The number-1 cause of wrinkles is sun damage, so it's important to use sunscreen from your early years on even in winter and on cloudy days. A great trick is to purchase two moisturizers: One for night and one for day that includes UV protection. Don't use moisturizers with sunscreen at night, the ingredients are not meant to be used 27/7 and can aggravate skin.

Skin Care for Your Face: According to Your Skin Type

Skin care should be designed to fit your type of skin. Some people are lucky enough to have normal skin, but most of us are not that lucky. Your teen and young-adult years are a time when your oil glands tend to be overproductive. There are great skin-care products on the market today; I wish we had had them when I was a teen.

Type of Skin What to Do For Your Face Care

Dry Skin:

You tend to have dry, tight, flaky skin due to underproductive oil glands. For some people, this means less acne.

PLAN: Wash your face once or twice a day with a mild cleanser (nothing that calls itself "soap," but "cleansing" or "beauty bar"). Soaps have too much detergent in them for your skin. Use a sensitive-skin bar or sensitive-skin face wash. Follow this with an oil-free moisturizer. If it has a sunscreen, better yet, but do that in the morning.

Oily Skin: Your oil glands are working overtime. Your skin is shiny and your pores tend to get clogged, causing blackheads, whiteheads and zits.

PLAN: Wash your face twice a day with a medicated cleanser. The gels seem to work better. Neutrogena Acne Wash is great for this. Then use a toner or witch hazel. A good product is Neutrogena Clear Pore Oil Controlling Astringent. Try the inexpensive witch hazel first, but it may dry out your skin. For acne Combination Skin: This is what most of us have. Your T-zone (see Skin Care) is oily, while your eye area, cheeks and sometimes neck are dry.
PLAN: If you can spend the time and the money, you should use different products for the different areas. But it’s simpler to use one cleanser. Wash once or twice a day with a mild milky or exfoliating cleanser.
Normal Skin: Lucky you! (Although you may tend to get zits before your period if you are female.)
PLAN: Wash your face twice a day with a mild cleanser, like Neutrogena Clear for Normal Skin or Basis Clear Face Wash. You may want to use a moisturizing lotion afterward, like Neutrogena Moisture. If it seems to cause you to break out, stop using any moisturizer. You may not need it.
